Believe me, I'm no expert, but those "snout horns" we're talking about I'm willing to bet weren't the beneficiaries of any of the engineering study that WE did for their products. Just another way to fit a "morning glory" horn into a box. Some of those horns shown are nothing more than the immovable extension of the hollow phonograph pickup tube which had at the business end nothing more than some flexible diaphragm with a cactus or steel needle attached to it. So I speculate, or if you prefer, throw a little BS; even a cheap speaker is somewhat remarkable in what it does, it that you can recognize a particular voice. But lets not turn these things into "precisley engineered high accuracy reproducers."
